Mövenpick Asara Resort & Spa Hua Hin stands directly on the beach on the Gulf of Thailand, on the stretch of sand that runs five kilometres from the Hua Hin town pier down to Khao Takiab. It is a resort of suites and villas rather than a tower of rooms: terrace suites looking over the lagoon, family suites, private pool villas walled into their own gardens, and oceanfront villas a few steps from the water.

The Swiss hospitality that gives Mövenpick its name runs through the day here. Chocolate Hour is served every afternoon, a small ritual guests tend to remember long after the stay has ended.

The resort is built low and wide across gardens, lagoons and two swimming pools, so the sea is never far from view. Guests wake to a floating breakfast served in their own pool, spend the day between the sand and the water, and end it at a table set beside the waterline.

A coastal destination designed for every traveller

Families have the Little Birds Club, the rope park and a lagoon pool shallow enough for small children. Couples have villas with private pools and dinners set up on the sand. Dogs are genuinely welcome, not merely tolerated: there are pet-friendly pool villas, a dog park and a pet spa, and a getaway package built around bringing them along.

For business, the Grand Asara ballroom seats up to three hundred guests without a pillar in the way, and The Library offers a lighter room for smaller sessions. Weddings take place barefoot on the sand, on a shaded garden lawn, or in the ballroom, with a coordinator assigned to each one.

Dining, wellness and unforgettable moments

Kampu serves modern Thai cooking, while Baan Dum sits on the sand with the daily catch grilled over charcoal. Between them sit the things guests plan their stay around: a private barbecue with your own chef, afternoon tea with sea views, the Swiss Cheese Club, and dinner under the stars on the beach.
